Mitch Hedberg: The King of One-liners

As I was doing some research on boring stuff in school yesterday, I've been going through some funny stand-up comedians in Youtube, and I've got to admit, Mitch Hedberg is one fine chap. He got me knockin' my socks off with his ingenious one-liners.

Too bad he died at such a young age. We would've seen more of his brilliance if he didn't do crack.

  3. Screen Capturing and Clipping tools
  4. "Mark As Final" Function
  5. Jumplist

Things You Should Look for in a Laptop/Netbook

What features should a laptop/netbook have? Design, of course. It's simple that elegance/simplicity is what people are raving about these days. Looking further, obviously, we can see that design sometimes compromises a fully-functional device.  Sure design is all-too-important in showing off your gizmo. But what about the other "essential" ideas that a purchaser like you should consider? In this list, I'm going to point out what important components your electronic buddy should have. In the days of old, laptops were so expensive, people didn't even have the idea of purchasing one, and by purchasing one, they really did some good analysis and canvassing. That's what you should do too.

Pay close attention to this post and always keep in mind what I say before you buy the gadget:

"A device should always be pound-for-pound."

    1. ERGONOMICS

Every good laptop must provide comfort for its user. That is why before purchasing online or at a local department store, try out the product first, so you won't complain when you're already using it. Be picky or end up with Carpal Tunnel.

    What is Black Friday Anyway?

Black Friday is supposedly the start of Christmas season in US; it commences on the day after Thanksgiving is celebrated (which Friday). It's the beginning of booming profits for almost every retailer/merchandiser, because when Black Friday starts, people rush to department stores to buy some early gifts this Holiday Season. It is also marked by huge discount on every product imaginable, most popular of which are electronics, clothing, home decors, hardware, and even computer software. Most department stores decorate their shelves as early as Black Friday. This 2009, the Black Friday frenzy happened between November 23 (Friday) and 29 (Yesterday). Multitudes of discounts and promotions (some even as low as 80%) were given to buyers as merchandisers see Black Friday as the moment when purchases really take place, and also a time to rid their shelve spaces. Shopper activity, especially electronics purchases are set on a record-high count. Laptops are swept off the shelves, however, just to make sure, retailers stock up in case a product gets sold out.

Are Torrent Search Services Coming to an End?

Just recently, I’ve noticed that the Mininova index page changed. Little did I know that it had already been taken down by the Feds a few days back. Now, it only distributes Content Distribution torrents, or in other words free-to-share torrents. Hell, "legal" isn’t even in my vocabulary, so why would I download those? And besides, I don’t even like those Indie films being highlighted on its landing page. This is sad. Mininova will always be one of the best torrent search services, along with Demonoid, ThePirateBay & BTJunkie.

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans

I must admit, hearing the news that Nicolas Cage was bankrupt (because of his own fault) made me think he was aiming pre-production for Ghost Rider 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6.

Cage has been always in the "to-laugh-at" list in Hollywood because of his constant refusal to being casted on low-budget movies. That builds up pride, doesn't it? Now here he is again, only better, being revamped back into the roles he was critically acclaimed for: un-"Supernatural" un-"Sci-fi" protagonist characters.  His most recent film has not been scheduled for a worldwide release yet, but it looks very cool in the trailer.

Red Panda - Inspiration for Firefox

The cute critter up top is where Mozilla Firefox got the inspiration for its logo.

See how cute it is? Well, they won't be here for long mainly because of habitat loss and poaching, however, they really fit nicely in zoos. This industrialization really set record tough times for cute animals. I'd really like to cuddle one of these before I pass away.

Whew! I've become an animal-lover all of a sudden. Now back to eating that meat loaf.

Blu-ray Becoming the Standard Movie Rip format

Blu-ray technology has meant to produce the clearest clarity for movies. The only drawback on buying these Blu-ray movies is the huge price gap between a standard-definition DVD or even an high-defnition DVD against a Blu-ray disk. But somehow, Blu-ray movies are gradually becoming the preference of most people, even torrent freaks.

Yes, my friends, I get most of my films from torrent sites or from paid file repositories, because it's much more convenient and hell lot cheaper... Oh, did I say "cheap", I meant FREE! (if you're a free user like me). Once a new movie hits store shelves, expect an exact copy of it to be in torrent directories the following day.

Dante's Inferno to Set Gamers on Fire!

This upcoming game, Dante’s Inferno, looks very promising indeed, and from the trailer itself, I’d have to agree that the hellish gore is totally appreciated. Too bad it’s release has been delayed for yet another few months, just like Starcraft II and Diablo III.
